Dubai: Egypt Post has been awarded membership in both the Council of Administration (CA) and the Postal Operations Council (POC) of the Universal Postal Union (UPU). Additionally, Egypt Post has secured the role of co-chair of the POC's supply chain committee.
According to State Information Service Egypt, this achievement was announced during the 28th session of the Universal Postal Union Congress, which was hosted in Dubai from September 8 to 19, 2025. The event, themed "Leading Change..Creating the Future," saw participation from representatives of 144 countries.
This accomplishment signifies the significant regional and international presence that Egypt Post has established over the past years. Its active involvement in UPU meetings and activities has earned it substantial support and trust from the majority of member countries, as reflected in the high voting percentages it received.
Dalia el Baz, Chairperson of Egypt Post, remarked that this recognition serves as an international endorsement of Egypt Post's capabilities. It highlights the organization's ongoing success in infrastructure development and the automation of postal services. El Baz emphasized that this achievement imposes a greater responsibility on Egypt Post to further develop its system, bolster its role in economic development, support e-commerce growth, and maintain its status as a reliable provider of postal and financial services across Egypt.
