Cairo: Egypt's Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Hani Sewilam met with Secretary-General of the Education Development Fund Rasha Sharaf to discuss a proposal to establish a food university in coordination with the ministries of agriculture and higher education.According to State Information Service Egypt, Sharaf presented the project, which aims to train specialized professionals in smart agriculture, water management, livestock production, advanced food industries, and agricultural mechanization.The proposed university would operate in collaboration with leading international institutions and align its educational programmes with European and global standards. It also seeks to build strong partnerships with major producers and manufacturers in Egypt and the Arab region to enhance employment opportunities and deliver tangible benefits to the national economy.
