Cairo: Egypt offered its sincere condolences to sisterly South Sudan over the crash of a passenger plane in South Sudan's Unity State. The aircraft, which was carrying oil workers, crashed on takeoff from its oilfield airport.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Egypt reiterated its complete solidarity with the government and the people of the Republic of South Sudan. The country expressed its sincere sympathy for the families of the deceased.
