Egypt, Jordan, UAE, Indonesia, Pakistan, Trkiye, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar Condemn Israeli Actions in Occupied West Bank

Cairo: The Foreign Ministers of Egypt, Jordan, the UAE, Indonesia, Pakistan, Trkiye, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar have issued a joint statement condemning Israel's recent decisions and actions aimed at imposing illegal sovereignty and expanding settlement activities in the occupied West Bank. These measures are seen as accelerating the illegal annexation of the area and the displacement of Palestinian people, a situation the ministers have denounced as a violation of international law.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the ministers emphasized that Israel has no sovereignty over the occupied Palestinian territories. They expressed concern over Israel's expansionist policies, which they argue fuel ongoing violence and conflict in the region. The ministers firmly rejected these actions, describing them as blatant violations of international law that undermine the possibility of a two-state solution and infringe on the Palestinian people's rights to an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.

The statement highlighted that the actions taken by Israel are null and void, constituting a clear breach of UN Security Council resolutions, notably Resolution 2334. This resolution condemns Israeli measures that aim to alter the demographic and geographic character of Palestinian territories occupied since 1967. The ministers also referenced the 2024 advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice, which declared Israel's presence in these territories as illegal and stressed the need for ending the occupation.

The ministers called on the international community to take responsibility by compelling Israel to cease its activities in the West Bank and to address inflammatory rhetoric from its officials. They reiterated that achieving the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people through a two-state solution is the only viable path to ensuring lasting peace and stability in the region.
