Cairo: The Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority, on behalf of the Ministry of Civil Aviation, is currently hosting the Twelfth Meeting of the Middle East Regional Collaborative Arrangement for the Prevention and Management of Public Health Events in Civil Aviation (CAPSCA EUR/MID/12). This significant event is being held in Cairo under the patronage of Civil Aviation Minister Sameh el Hefny.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting is organized in joint coordination between the European and North Atlantic (EUR/NAT) Office of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the ICAO Middle East Regional Office. It includes participation from representatives of the World Health Organization (WHO), as well as member states and relevant regional and international organizations.
The meeting aims to facilitate the exchange of experiences and best practices among member states. It seeks to coordinate the development of response plans for public health emergencies, focusing on ensuring the safety and continuity of the air transport sector. Additionally, the meeting addresses minimizing the impact of health emergencies on international travel and trade.
