Paris:The Egypt-France Business Forum 2026 commenced at the French Senate's Luxembourg Palace, drawing over 300 policymakers and business leaders from Egypt and France to discuss investment opportunities and forge new partnerships.According to State Information Service Egypt, the event is organized by Business France and aims to enhance economic cooperation between the two nations. It includes dialogue sessions and business meetings to explore concrete projects and investment opportunities, facilitating direct communication between decision-makers from both the public and private sectors.The forum is attended by notable figures such as Egypt's Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Mohamed Farid Saleh, Chairman of the Egypt Healthcare Authority Ahmed El-Sobky, and France's Minister Delegate for Francophonie, International Partnerships and French Nationals Abroad Éléonore Caroit. One-on-one meetings are planned between the Egyptian Investment Minister and representatives of 14 French companies to discuss potential investments in Egypt and expanding partnerships with local firms.The event highlights the opportunities in the Egyptian market, emphasizing its large population and strategic location as a trade link between Africa, the Middle East, and Europe, particularly via the Suez Canal. Business France regards Egypt as the second-largest consumer market in the Middle East and Africa, presenting significant potential for French enterprises.Egypt's ongoing economic and development transformation is seen as opening new opportunities for French businesses, especially under the Egypt Vision 2030 strategy. Promising areas include infrastructure, renewable energy, healthcare, agriculture, technology, and services. Business France also notes that around 4,500 French companies are already exporting products to Egypt.The forum features nine sessions discussing priority sectors, market entry requirements, and cooperation opportunities. Key topics include agriculture, infrastructure, mobility, energy, healthcare, r etail, and emerging technology fields like artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and data centers.
