Cairo:The Egypt Forum 2026 website has achieved significant online engagement, drawing over 10 million views and more than 50,000 registrations within just five days of its launch, as reported by Counsellor Mohamed Adel, spokesperson for the Egyptian cabinet.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the platform, which enables citizens, experts, and specialists to submit proposals ahead of the forum scheduled for 19-24 October, was accessed by more than 650,000 visitors. Registered users have submitted over 10,000 ideas and contributions, with more than 2,500 reviewed and published across 19 sectors, gaining a combined total of 275,604 views.
These figures show an increase from an earlier update by the cabinet indicating seven million views and 40,000 registrations in the website's initial three days. The education sector led the submissions, followed by culture and media, and then the labor market. Contributions reflected a public interest in youth and sports, while telecommunications and information technology garnered the most views, approximately 95,270, despite being fifth in submission numbers.
The cabinet launched the website on Thursday, 1 October, following directives from President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi to prioritize public opinion and transparently address citizens' concerns. El-Sisi also initiated preparatory discussions, inviting Egyptians from diverse backgrounds to share their views and proposals.
The website details the forum’s themes and session agendas, providing updates on activities and outcomes. It features a media section with news, video graphics, infographics, and a document center, alongside a 'Share Your Opinion' service for registration and submissions. The forum's agenda includes discussions on debt management, foreign-currency resources, and the National Economic Transformation Programme.
Egypt has previously facilitated public consultations through the National Dialogue, which began in May 2023, with a second round of discussions set for January 2024 to focus on economic challenges. Adel has encouraged citizens, experts, and specialists to visit the forum's official website to submit proposals and help shape future priorities.
