Egypt Emerges as Key Hub for Indian Industrial Investment

Cairo: Egypt is positioning itself as a pivotal regional hub for Indian industrial investment, Vice Chairman of the Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI) Mahmoud Serag stated. The country offers access to African, European, Arab, and American markets through its extensive network of free trade agreements.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Serag, speaking at a business dinner organized by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), urged Indian companies to expand their investments and establish manufacturing projects in Egypt. He emphasized the country's strategic advantages as a regional production and export hub, highlighting sectors such as pharmaceuticals, food processing, textiles, automotive components, chemicals, green energy, mining, cables, and technology for potential cooperation.

Industry Minister Khaled Hashem outlined Egypt's objectives to attract high-quality industrial investments, localize advanced technology, boost production and exports, and create employment opportunities. Meanwhile, Investment and Foreign Trade Minister Mohamed Farid Saleh discussed the economic and legislative reforms Egypt has undertaken to improve the investment climate and support private-sector growth.
