Aqaba: The Petroleum and Mineral Resources Ministry announced that a floating regasification unit has arrived at Jordan's Port of Aqaba. This development is in preparation for its connection to the Arab Gas Pipeline and subsequent entry into service.According to State Information Service Egypt, the deployment of the unit is a strategic move by Egypt to diversify its natural gas inputs and ensure stable energy supplies, particularly during periods of high demand. The Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) facilitated this initiative by signing an agreement for the floating unit, which will enable the regasification of LNG shipments based on network needs.The project signifies robust energy cooperation between Egypt and Jordan and underscores efforts to support regional infrastructure integration.
