Cairo: Egypt expressed sincere condolences to Sudan over the death of scores of people after a gold mine collapsed in the northeastern part of the country.

According to State Information Service Egypt, a statement released by the Foreign Ministry on Sunday, June 29th, 2025, affirmed Egypt's full solidarity with Sudan in dealing with this tragic incident.

Egypt also offered heartfelt sympathy to Sudan's government and the victims' families, wishing a speedy recovery for the wounded, the statement concluded.
