Cairo: The Arab Republic of Egypt has issued a strong condemnation of recent statements made by Israeli officials that call for the annexation of the occupied West Bank. This condemnation comes in response to the latest remarks from the Israeli Minister of Justice.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Egypt firmly rejects these statements, labeling them as violations of international law. These declarations are seen as efforts to solidify the illegal occupation of Palestinian territories and undermine the Palestinian people's right to self-determination. Egypt supports the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the June 4, 1967 borders, which includes the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, and East Jerusalem as its capital, ensuring the territorial integrity of all Palestinian lands.
The Egyptian government has also expressed its disapproval of ongoing Israeli actions in the West Bank, such as military incursions, arrests, and the expansion of illegal settlements. These actions are happening alongside events in the Gaza Strip that threaten the livelihood of Palestinians.
Egypt is calling on the international community to take immediate action to stop these violations against the Palestinian people on their land. It stresses the need for international efforts to support the aspirations of the Palestinian people, particularly the establishment of their independent state across their national territory.
