Cairo: Egypt strongly condemned an attempt to target the holy city of Makkah, describing it as a blatant violation of the sanctity of religious sites. In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates emphasized that such attacks run counter to Islamic values and constitute a clear violation of international law.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the statement reaffirmed Egypt's total rejection of any actions that threaten the security of Saudi Arabia. It stressed that the Kingdom's security is an integral part of Arab national security and is closely linked to Egypt's national security. Egypt also affirmed its support for Saudi Arabia in any measures it takes to safeguard its sovereignty, territorial security, and citizens.
