Cairo: Egypt has condemned an attack that targeted a unit of Ecuador's army, resulting in the death and injury of several soldiers.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the Egyptian foreign ministry released a statement expressing sincere condolences and sympathy to the Ecuadorian government and people, as well as to the families of the victims. The statement also included wishes for a speedy recovery for those who were wounded in the attack.
