Egypt and UAE Foreign Ministers Discuss Gaza and Regional Developments

Cairo: Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration, and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty held a phone call with UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan to discuss the strong and longstanding ties between Egypt and the UAE. The two ministers praised the steady progress in bilateral cooperation, particularly in the economic and investment fields.

According to State Information Service Egypt, during the call, they also reviewed the situation in Gaza, emphasizing the need to implement the latest UN Security Council resolution and to enable the international stabilization force to carry out its mandate, ensuring the consolidation of the ceasefire and protecting civilians. Abdelatty outlined Egypt's ongoing efforts to support the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Agreement and pointed out ongoing preparations for the international conference on early recovery and reconstruction in Gaza.

Additionally, the ministers also discussed developments in Sudan within the framework of the international quartet and agreed to continue coordination between Cairo and Abu Dhabi to support regional stability.
