Cairo: Agriculture and Land Reclamation Minister Alaa Farouk announced that Egypt's agriculture and poultry sectors present competitive advantages and promising investment opportunities that can bolster sustainable development and enhance food security.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Farouk conveyed this message during a meeting with a delegation of Turkish businessmen and investors. He emphasized that the Egyptian government is actively working to improve the investment climate by removing obstacles and supporting both domestic and foreign investments.
The discussions during the meeting focused on enhancing Egyptian-Turkish private-sector partnerships, increasing agricultural trade, facilitating technology transfer, and developing livestock and poultry supply chains. Both countries are considering using Turkey as a regional hub for Egyptian poultry exports to neighboring markets, leveraging Turkey's strategic geographic position and established supply networks.
As part of the collaboration, both parties agreed to organize a field visit for Turkish investors to Egyptian poultry farms, modern slaughterhouses, and significant agricultural projects. This visit aims to provide Turkish investors with an opportunity to evaluate potential investments and witness the technological advancements in Egypt's agricultural sector.
