Egypt and Senegal Aim to Enhance Infrastructure Cooperation

Dakar: Senegal's new Minister of Infrastructure, Dethi© Fall, has lauded the historical ties between Senegal and Egypt during a meeting with Egyptian Ambassador Khaled Aref. He conveyed President Bassirou Diomaye Faye's dedication to enhancing cooperation in both public and private sectors.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Fall stressed Senegal's strong interest in fortifying its relationship with Egypt, particularly in infrastructure, due to Egypt's advanced technological capabilities. A statement from the foreign ministry noted Fall's call for more exchanges of official and technical delegations to observe Egypt's development achievements.

The Egyptian ambassador emphasized Egypt's interest in furthering bilateral integration in infrastructure, referencing significant advancements in areas such as roads, power, ports, airports, railways, the New Administrative Capital, and industrial zones. He also expressed that major Egyptian firms are prepared to engage in the Senegalese market by partnering with local companies to support Senegal's key national infrastructure projects.
