Egypt and Poland Explore Agri-Tech Partnership

Cairo: The head of Egyptian Countryside Development Company, Amr Abdel Wahab, met with Polish Ambassador in Egypt, Michal Murkocinski, to discuss potential cooperation in agriculture, smart farming, food manufacturing, and renewable energy, as stated in an official announcement.According to State Information Service Egypt, the discussions focused on utilizing Poland's expertise in smart agriculture and machinery, with particular attention on the potential local manufacturing of advanced tractors using Polish technology. The Egyptian company is keen on attracting foreign investment to bolster its flagship land reclamation and agricultural development initiative, a significant sustainable farming project in the region.Abdel Wahab highlighted that the 1.5 million feddan reclamation project offers ample opportunities for productive partnerships and serves as a model for science-based agricultural development. Murkocinski commended the company's recent advancements and ambitious goals, noting Poland's strong c apabilities in agriculture and natural resource management. He expressed optimism about short- and medium-term cooperation, emphasizing the strong bilateral ties between Cairo and Warsaw.Both parties recognized the importance of technical and economic exchanges and discussed potential involvement of Polish companies in infrastructure development within the NECDA's land portfolio.
