Cairo: Minister of State for Military Production Salah Soliman Gomblat discussed with Pakistan's Ambassador to Cairo Aamir Shouket ways of enhancing bilateral cooperation in various fields, particularly defense industries. This meeting took place at the headquarters of the Ministry of Military Production in the New Capital.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the minister emphasized the longstanding ties between Egypt and Pakistan, highlighting the ministry's military and civilian production capabilities, advanced manufacturing technologies, and the expertise of qualified technical and engineering personnel. The discussions revolved around opportunities for sharing expertise, transferring technology, and strengthening industrial partnerships between military production companies and Pakistani defense firms.
The Pakistani ambassador praised the advanced technological and manufacturing capabilities of Egypt's military production sector, expressing Pakistan's aspiration to further boost bilateral cooperation, especially in military and security fields. Additionally, the ambassador extended an invitation to the minister to participate in the 'IDEAS 2026' international defense exhibition, which is scheduled to be held in November.
