Cairo: Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty telephoned his Malawian counterpart Nancy Tembo on Sunday to discuss beefing up relations between the two countries. Abdelatty expressed his commitment to fostering strong ties with Malawi across various sectors. This includes expanding capacity building programs through the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development (EAPD), enhancing Egyptian investments in Malawi, and increasing trade exchange between the two nations.According to State Information Service Egypt, Minister Tembo appreciated the historic relations between Egypt and Malawi. She emphasized her country's interest in deepening cooperation in all fields. Tembo also expressed her intention to visit Egypt at the earliest opportunity to gain insights from Egyptian expertise in capacity building.During the conversation, both ministers agreed on the importance of continued coordination on regional and international issues of common interest. Additionally, Egyp t and Malawi pledged mutual support for each other's nominations for regional and international positions.
