Egypt and Kuwait Target Enhanced Cooperation in Aviation Sector

Cairo: Minister of Civil Aviation Sameh El-Hefny recently held a meeting with Hamoud Mubarak, President of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) of Kuwait, to bolster bilateral cooperation in the civil aviation sector. The Egyptian Cabinet shared that the discussions aimed to increase flight operations, expand technical and administrative training, and explore investment opportunities within Egypt's airport sector.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting also evaluated the outcomes of recent technical meetings between the aviation authorities of both countries. El-Hefny emphasized the strategic depth of Egyptian-Kuwaiti relations, viewing them as exemplary for constructive Arab cooperation. He pointed out the comprehensive development underway in Egypt's civil aviation sector, which offers promising opportunities for joint ventures, especially with Kuwait.

El-Hefny commended Kuwait's advancements in aviation infrastructure and airline operations, noting that they reflect a strategic vision that positions the country as a regional hub for air transport. Hamoud expressed Kuwait's support for Egypt's candidacy in the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) elections, underscoring the significance of Arab solidarity in addressing global challenges and promoting sustainable growth in the aviation industry.
