Cairo: Egypt's Minister of Civil Aviation, Sameh El Hefny, engaged in discussions with Carlos Oliver Cruz, Chief of Mission of the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) in Egypt, focusing on enhancing cooperation in areas concerning passenger data and border security.According to State Information Service Egypt, during the meeting, El Hefny stressed the significance of bolstering collaboration on Advance Passenger Information (API) and Passenger Name Record (PNR) systems. He underscored their essential role in enhancing air transport security, aiding in the fight against irregular migration, and improving the efficiency and flow of passenger movement.The minister further highlighted the ministry's interest in enhancing technical training and knowledge exchange. He expressed a desire to leverage the IOM's international expertise, particularly in data management and smart systems, to support these efforts.Carlos Oliver Cruz reiterated the IOM's commitment to expanding cooperation with Egypt's civ il aviation sector.
