Cairo: Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Ayman Ashour participated in the 10th session of the Egyptian-Chinese Joint Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation. The session was co-chaired by Deputy Minister for Innovation, AI, and Scientific Research Dr. Hossam Othman and China's Vice Minister of Science and Technology Long Teng.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Dr. Ashour highlighted the strong relations between Egypt and China, noting China's significant role as a partner in Egypt's Higher Education and Scientific Research. Long Teng commended Egypt for its progress in education, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
The meeting focused on reviewing ongoing joint projects related to technical and technological education, scientific research, and innovation under Egypt's Vision 2030. Both parties agreed to enhance collaboration in advanced technologies, industrial innovation, and university partnerships. They also decided to establish a joint workshop on innovation policies and mechanisms to follow up on the implementation of agreed projects.
