Egypt and Cameroon Discuss Enhanced Economic Collaboration

Cairo: Egypt's Ambassador to Cameroon, Dalia Faiz Gabriel, held talks on Thursday with the Cameroonian Prime Minister and the ministers of defense, foreign affairs, agriculture, finance, and economy. The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral relations, particularly in trade, investment, and development cooperation, as well as sharing expertise to foster economic growth and sustainable development. Both sides emphasized the importance of expanding opportunities for collaboration between public and private sectors to boost economic integration and create promising avenues for partnership.According to State Information Service Egypt, the Cameroonian Prime Minister expressed his keenness to advance cooperation with Egypt and follow up on the outcomes of the Egypt-Cameroon Joint Committee, held in November 2024. He also voiced hope for concluding new bilateral agreements to increase investment flows and trade, including a deal to avoid double taxation.
