According to State Information Service Egypt, during the meeting on June 18, 2026, Abdel Ghaffar emphasized the state's commitment to integrating the latest medical solutions and technologies into the healthcare system, aligning with international standards. He highlighted Egypt's potential to position itself as a regional hub for healthcare and medical innovation.
Health Ministry Spokesman Hossam Abdel Ghaffar reported that the discussions included promoting healthcare innovation, exchanging international expertise, and developing policies that support medical technologies, with a particular focus on medical imaging and radiology.
The discussions also explored opportunities for enhancing healthcare workforce skills, boosting digital health capabilities, establishing tele-diagnosis regulations, evaluating health technologies, and facilitating access to advanced medical solutions.
