Cairo: Egypt moved a step closer to qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup with a 2-0 away victory over Ethiopia during their match in Morocco's Casablanca on Friday 21/3/2025. The first goal was scored by Mohamed Salah and the second by Ahmed Sayed Zizo.According to State Information Service Egypt, the win takes Egypt to the top of Group A with 13 points, followed by Burkina Faso and Sierra Leone with eight points each. The Pharaoh's coming match will be played home against Sierra Leone at Cairo International Stadium on March 25.
