EGP 90 Billion Allocated for Economic Boost in Egypt

The Cabinet's Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) reviewed a package of support programs and incentives included in the 2026/2027 fiscal year budget aimed at boosting economic activity, supporting productive, export-oriented, and tourism sectors, and encouraging investment and entrepreneurship. These measures are expected to increase production and enhance the competitiveness of the Egyptian economy.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the budget allocates EGP 90 billion to support various economic activity programs, with a strong focus on industry, exports, and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

The infographic published by the center detailed that EGP 48 billion is set aside for export rebate programs and support for exporters. Additionally, EGP 6 billion is allocated for financing facilities in the industrial and agricultural production sectors. The automotive industry will receive EGP 5.5 billion to attract investments in the manufacturing of environmentally friendly vehicles and their components.

To further bolster the economy, EGP 6.7 billion is designated to support the tourism sector by increasing hotel capacity, while EGP 5 billion is earmarked for incentives to promote growth among small, medium-sized, and micro enterprises.

In efforts to strengthen domestic production, EGP 2 billion will be used as incentives for priority industries to expand production capacity, localize industry, and reinforce the productive capabilities of the Egyptian economy.
