EAPD Chief Seeks Joint Cooperation with Arab Fund for African Countries

Cairo: Secretary-General of the Egyptian Agency for Partnership for Development (EAPD) Nermeen El-Zawahry discussed joint cooperation frameworks with Mohand Salah Ladjouzi, the Assistant Secretary General of the Arab League and Director General of the Arab Fund for Technical Assistance to African Countries (AFTAAC). During their meeting, El-Zawahry reviewed opportunities for developing joint training and development programs aimed at enhancing development in African countries.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting also addressed ways to collaborate on dispatching specialized experts. El-Zawahry emphasized that the Agency prioritizes strengthening partnerships with regional and international institutions to advance sustainable development and capacity building in countries of the South.

Ladjouzi highlighted the Arab Fund's role as a significant development platform with a history of effective initiatives. He noted that the Fund's specialized training courses aim to transfer expertise and knowledge in various fields to African countries.

Both parties emphasized the importance of leveraging the expertise of the Agency and the Fund to propose new ideas for African countries. Their goal is to help develop human and institutional capacities, support development aspirations, and improve the quality of life.
