Cairo: Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Nabil Habashi said that Egyptian communities abroad continue to support their country in meaningful ways, especially amid current regional and global challenges. He stressed the importance of unity among Egyptians inside and outside the country to help protect national interests and support economic stability.According to State Information Service Egypt, in a virtual meeting with Egyptians in South Africa, Botswana, and Lesotho, Habashi spoke about the government's efforts to stay in close contact with its citizens overseas and respond to their needs. He said that recent initiatives have improved services, including banking access, financial transfers, housing opportunities, and education options for Egyptians abroad. Habashi also pointed to the recent Egyptians Abroad conference as an example of the state's commitment to listening and acting on diaspora concerns.For his part, Assistant Foreign Minister for Consular Affairs Had dad El Gohary joined the meeting and reviewed improvements to consular services, aimed at making them faster and more accessible for Egyptian nationals worldwide.
