Defense Minister Zahir Reviews Training Unit for Conscripts

Cairo: Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production Ashraf Salem Zahir inspected one of the Armed Forces' main training units for conscripts to follow up on the system for preparing and qualifying newly enlisted soldiers. The visit was attended by Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, along with a number of senior military commanders.According to State Information Service Egypt, the Commander-in-Chief listened to a briefing on the unit and its recent developments, and conducted a tour to review the educational process, administrative status, and training system. He also visited the selection and orientation section, which aims to assign each soldier to a specialization suited to his capabilities and personal attributes.Zahir met with a number of soldiers, conveying to them the greetings and appreciation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. He affirmed the Armed Forces General Command's commitment to supporting the soldier and providing all necessary resources to prepare him scientifically, physically, and mentally to shoulder the responsibility of defending the nation and safeguarding its sanctities, in accordance with advanced training systems based on the latest military sciences.He urged the soldiers to enhance their awareness and stay informed about surrounding developments so that each soldier remains fully aware of ongoing events. He also stressed the importance of safeguarding against information warfare, which is rapidly evolving and poses a threat to national security, as well as the need for proper use of social media at all levels.At the conclusion of the inspection tour, Zahir saluted the commanders, officers, and non-commissioned officers responsible for preparing and qualifying soldiers for military life, ensuring their ability to perform assigned tasks efficiently and effectively.
