Cairo: Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, General Abdel Meguid Sakr, has approved the recruitment of a new batch of conscripts for military service, set to commence in April 2026. Registration is scheduled to start on December 27, 2025.
According to State Information Service Egypt, eligible candidates for this recruitment include university graduates born between September and December of any year up to 2005, who have completed their degrees or internships between February and July 2025. The criteria also extend to graduates with above-intermediate and intermediate qualifications who fit the same age and educational timelines, as well as non-degree holders born between September 1 and December 31 of any year up to 2005.
Candidates must report to designated recruitment offices for registration and undergo medical examinations as per their respective schedules. Required documentation includes a national ID, military service card, academic certificates, and other necessary personal records. The recruitment process entails medical checkups, the submission of required documents, and registration at specified offices. Applicants with valid reasons for exemption, deferral, or exception must provide appropriate documentation to support their claims.
