Damietta: Damietta Port received six vessels and saw the departure of eight others over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of ships currently berthed at the port to 24, according to a statement issued by the Damietta Port Authority on Monday, July 13, 2026.
According to State Information Service Egypt, exports of general cargo totaled 14,735 tons, including 6,151 tons of clinker, 1,852 tons of bagged cement, 1,000 tons of urea, and 5,732 tons of miscellaneous goods. Imports of general cargo reached 32,508 tons, comprising 14,150 tons of scrap, 6,345 tons of soybeans, 5,170 tons of iron, and 6,843 tons of plywood.
The port also handled 314 TEUs of transit containers during the reporting period. The statement added that wheat stocks at the public-sector grain silos stood at 122,915 tons, while private-sector warehouses held 103,657 tons. Meanwhile, two trains carrying a total of 2,502 tons of wheat departed the port en route to the Kom Abu Radi silos. Truck traffic entering and leaving the port totaled 5,534 movements.
