Cairo: Minister of Culture Ahmed Fouad Hanno announced Saturday the designation of September 15 each year as "Egyptian Music Day." The occasion will be added to Egypt's cultural and artistic calendar, marking a significant step in recognizing the importance of Egyptian music.

According to State Information Service Egypt, this initiative is part of the state's commitment to strengthening the status of Egyptian music as a key pillar of national identity and a fundamental component of Egypt's soft power. Minister Hanno emphasized the role of music in shaping cultural heritage and national pride.

He has tasked the National Center for Theater, Music, and Folklore with making the necessary preparations for celebrating "Egyptian Music Day" on September 15. The establishment of this day aims to celebrate and preserve the rich musical traditions of Egypt while promoting its contemporary musical achievements.
