Compensation Offered for Internet Subscribers Affected by Ramses Fire

Cairo: The National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA) has approved additional compensation for fixed internet users affected by the recent fire at the Ramses Central Office, mandating service providers to implement the decision.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the NTRA announced that prepaid fixed internet customers will receive compensation equivalent to 50% of their basic data package, which will be added as a free bundle. Additionally, a 30% discount will be applied to the monthly bill as compensation for the service disruption.

The NTRA emphasized its continued commitment to monitoring service quality for users. It is also coordinating with telecom companies to ensure uninterrupted service and to prevent similar incidents in the future. These measures are part of the NTRA's efforts to safeguard users' rights and ensure customer satisfaction.
