Cairo: Minister of Civil Aviation Sameh El-Hefny conducted an inspection tour of Cairo International Airport to review service readiness, streamline passenger flows and enhance coordination among operating agencies, particularly during peak hours.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the minister was accompanied by Chairman of the Egyptian Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation Engineer Ayman Fawzy Arab, Cairo Airport Company Chairman Magdy Isaac, Assistant Chairman Mohamed Samy and a number of civil aviation officials. El-Hefny inspected the customs area at Terminal 3, where he met Head of the Central Administration for Cairo Airport Customs Youssef Fouad Youssef and reviewed customs clearance procedures and passenger processing.

The minister stressed the importance of seamless cooperation between airport teams and customs authorities affiliated with the Ministry of Finance to handle the increasing number of arriving passengers and ensure full compliance with regulations. He praised the efforts of customs personnel, noting that swift and accurate procedures are essential to improving the passenger experience amid increasing air traffic.

El-Hefny affirmed that Cairo International Airport serves as Egypt's main gateway, stressing that operational regularity, streamlined procedures and continuous coordination among the airport's various authorities are essential to maintaining operational discipline. The tour comes as part of the Ministry of Civil Aviation's ongoing field monitoring efforts to assess airport readiness, maintain air traffic regularity and improve passenger services.
