Cairo: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) has announced the withdrawal of directive no. 482, issued on July 8, 2025, which had extended the working hours of bank branches until 5:00 pm.

According to State Information Service Egypt, in an official letter addressed to banks operating within the local market, the CBE confirmed that the working hours will revert to the previously established official schedule, with all bank branches closing at 3:00 pm as of today.
