Cairo: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly led the weekly cabinet meeting at the New Administrative Capital, focusing on a comprehensive agenda that included political, economic, and social issues. The meeting aimed to ensure the effective implementation of presidential directives within set timelines.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the cabinet discussed Prime Minister Madbouly's recent representation of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi at the 17th BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Additionally, the aftermath of the Ramses Central building fire was addressed, following an on-site inspection by the premier earlier in the day.
The meeting focused on fulfilling presidential instructions to meet citizens' needs, counter inflation, and boost spending on healthcare, education, and social protection. Discussions also covered market regulation, food commodity availability, and advancing national projects across the governorates.
Key topics included expanding social safety measures, supporting vulnerable groups, and reviewing progress in education and healthcare, all aligned with the Egypt Vision 2030. Investment growth, export expansion, and localizing industries were other focal points of the cabinet's agenda.
The cabinet also revisited previous measures to enhance investment, industry, and exports, expand agricultural land, and provide industrial land plots to investors. Strengthening social safety nets, implementing tax reforms, and supporting low-income citizens were prioritized to secure public needs.
