Cabinet Convenes to Tackle Key National Issues

New capital: Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli chaired a government meeting on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, to discuss a range of political, economic, and social issues on the government's agenda, as well as reviewing ways to implement presidential directives efficiently and in a timely manner.

According to State Information Service Egypt, during the session, the Cabinet is expected to address several key topics, including the inauguration of the University Hospital at Newgiza University by the Prime Minister, and follow-up on presidential directives to ensure the needs of citizens are met.

The meeting also focused on efforts to curb inflation and increase spending on health, education, and social protection. The Cabinet discussed monitoring market movement and the availability of food commodities while completing various national projects across the governorates.

Additionally, the Cabinet will review measures to expand social protection programs, support vulnerable citizens, and advance educational and healthcare reforms. These efforts aim to promote comprehensive development, investment growth, export expansion, and localizing industries as part of Egypt Vision 2030.

The government will follow up on previous measures regarding investment, industry, exports, and expanding agricultural land. Providing industrial zones for investors, as well as social insurance, taxation, and state-sector development initiatives, were also on the agenda. The meeting emphasized efforts to support low-income citizens and ensure the provision of essential services to the population.
