Cairo: Cabinet spokesman Mohamed Al-Homosani announced that the ongoing development of the Giza pyramids area is designed to enhance the tourist experience while preserving the heritage character of the region.According to State Information Service Egypt, Al-Homosani revealed that the development plan is being executed by a high-level advisory group. During a phone call with Extra News channel, he explained that several months ago, Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly prioritized the creation of a comprehensive plan for the area in collaboration with all relevant authorities.Al-Homosani noted that the Giza Plateau is an area with significant demand, particularly from tourists since the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum. The overarching vision for the area emphasizes the necessity of offering a variety of services within the region.He pointed out the importance of increasing the number of hotel rooms to enhance the tourist experience at the Giza Plateau while maintaining its heritage character, as it is included in the UNESCO World Heritage list. This involves careful consideration of building designs, material choices, and structure heights.Prime Minister Madbouly had stressed the attention being given to the area and its surroundings, especially with the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum, during a meeting to review the progress of the development projects around the Giza Plateau.
