Cairo: Badr El-Din Petroleum Company has announced a new gas discovery in the Badr-15 area of the Western Desert through the drilling of well BED 15-31. This development marks a significant step in enhancing the region's energy reserves.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the discovery aligns with the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources' strategic objectives to stimulate investment, increase production, and decrease dependency on imports. The newly discovered well has been integrated into the production framework, contributing 16 million cubic feet of gas and 750 barrels of condensate daily.
The Ministry's statement also highlighted the potential impact of this discovery, indicating that it is projected to augment the reserves by 15 billion cubic feet of gas, underlining the importance of such developments in strengthening the country's energy sector.
