Cairo: A memorandum of understanding and a joint cooperation agreement were signed between the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) and Sofema, a French company specialized in aircraft engine maintenance and overhaul. This event took place during the third day of the EDEX 2025 International Defense Exhibition.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the agreement was signed by Gamal Ramadan, Chairman of the Engine Factory at the AOI. Mokhtar Abdel Latif, Chairman of the AOI, expressed appreciation for the collaboration with Sofema and acknowledged the company's expertise in aircraft engine maintenance and repair. The agreement includes cooperation in the overhaul, maintenance, and repair of the LARZAC engine used in Alpha Jet aircraft, leveraging the technical capabilities at the AOI's Engine Factory.
