Cairo: Ambassador Alaa Youssef, State Information Service (SIS) Board Chairman, received Ambassador Salih Mutlu Sen, Trkiye's Ambassador to Cairo, to discuss enhancing bilateral cooperation in the media sector between Egypt and Trkiye.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Youssef emphasized the notable progress in Egyptian-Turkish relations, influenced by the historical connections and common interests between the two nations. He acknowledged the shared vision of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, which has facilitated the advancement of relations towards more extensive cooperation in multiple areas.

Youssef elaborated on the State Information Service's efforts to enhance its media services, including leveraging digital platforms and social media to accurately portray Egypt domestically and internationally. He highlighted SIS's role in promoting Egypt's development initiatives and national projects across various sectors and in providing essential facilities for foreign media and correspondents in Egypt.

Ambassador Salih Mutlu Sen acknowledged Egypt's significant role and influence in regional and international arenas, commending its efforts to promote stability and resolve regional crises. He emphasized the need for ongoing coordination and dialogue between Egypt and Trkiye on shared concerns.

Sen also highlighted the critical role of media in bolstering Egyptian-Turkish relations, fostering mutual understanding, and showcasing the progress in bilateral ties across numerous fields. This, he noted, would contribute to strengthening the partnership and cooperation between the two countries.
