Cairo: Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation Dr. Rania Al-Mashat held a meeting with the Presidential Specialized Council for Economic Development, upon the invitation of Dr. Hussein Eissa, the Council's General Coordinator.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting was attended by prominent figures, including former Minister of Finance Dr. Youssef Boutros Ghali, former Minister of Finance Dr. Hani Kadry Demian, Founder, CEO, and Managing Director of Fawry Eng. Ashraf Sabry, Chairman of the Federation of Egyptian Industries Eng. Mohamed El-Sewedy, CEO of EFG Holding Mr. Karim Awad, and Supervisor of the General Secretariat of the Specialized Councils Counselor Mohamed Abdel-Wahab, among other Council members.
During the session, Dr. Rania Al-Mashat presented the "National Narrative for Economic Development," which acts as a comprehensive framework reflecting the state's approach to economic management. This framework is designed to establish foundations for inclusive growth, focusing on stability, productivity, empowerment of the private sector, and the achievement of social justice, in line with the Unified Public Finance Law No. 6 of 2022 and the State General Planning Law No. 18 of 2022.
Al-Mashat further elaborated on the advancements in the National Program for Structural Reforms. She detailed the various measures the government has successfully adopted, which have helped in enhancing macroeconomic stability, improving the business environment and investment climate, and promoting a transition towards a green economy.
