Air Cairo Initiates Flights from New Administrative Capital Airport to Jeddah

Cairo: New Administrative Capital: In line with the Egyptian government's strategy to maximize the utilization of new airports and integrate them within the air transport system, thereby boosting air traffic to and from the New Administrative Capital and alleviating operational pressure on major hub airports, particularly Cairo International Airport, the New Administrative Capital Airport today witnessed the launch of the first Air Cairo flight, the low-cost carrier of the Ministry of Civil Aviation, to King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah. This step reflects the airport's intended role in supporting the economic returns of the civil aviation sector.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the launch of these new Air Cairo flights from the New Administrative Capital Airport complements its existing operations from other Egyptian airports. The airport boasts advanced infrastructure, high operational capabilities, and a strategic location serving the New Administrative Capital and nearby governorates, providing easy access and enhancing operational efficiency.

The inaugural flight to King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, an Airbus A320 carrying 160 passengers, marked the start of regular service from the New Administrative Capital International Airport with six weekly flights. This initiative aims to diversify service destinations and optimize the operational capacity of Egyptian airports, particularly during peak seasons.

These flights, operated in cooperation with Air Cairo, are part of an integrated model that links the readiness of modern airports with the expansion of Egyptian airlines. This model supports the provision of convenient travel services and enhances air traffic and tourism to and from Egypt.

In this context, Dr. Sameh El-Hefny, Minister of Civil Aviation, affirmed that the launch of Air Cairo flights from the New Administrative Capital International Airport aligns with the state's strategy to maximize the utilization of modern airports and facilitate travel, reflecting the quality of services and operational readiness of Egyptian airports. The importance of this step in supporting the air transport system and achieving sustainable operations was emphasized.

The Public Relations Department at the Capital International Airport also organized a special reception for the flight passengers, facilitated travel procedures, and provided support and guidance inside the terminal, reflecting the level of organizational readiness of the airport and Air Cairo's commitment to providing a distinguished travel experience in accordance with the highest standards of quality and safety.
