Agriculture Museum and Flower Exhibition Offer Free Entry for Victory Celebrations

Giza:Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Alaa Farouk has announced that the Agricultural Museum and the Egypt Flower Exhibition in Dokki, Giza, will open free to visitors on October 8, 9, and 10. This initiative is part of the celebrations commemorating the October 6 Victory.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the minister has directed that all halls of the Agricultural Museum be accessible without charge, enabling visitors to delve into Egypt's agricultural history and advancements over time.

The museum houses a variety of exhibits, including heritage collections, scientific displays, the Plant Wealth Hall, and the Cotton Museum. Visitors can also explore sections dedicated to Ancient Egyptian Agriculture, as well as periods such as the Greek, Roman, Coptic, and Islamic eras, alongside the Syrian Hall and the Egyptian-Chinese Friendship Museum.

In addition to free entry, Farouk has called for various cultural, artistic, and entertainment activities to be held during the celebrations, catering to different age groups and Egyptian families.

The Agricultural Museum is noted as one of the largest agricultural museums globally, sprawling over nearly 30 feddans and featuring rare collections that chronicle the evolution of agriculture in Egypt from the Pharaonic era to the present day.

Operating throughout the year, the Egypt Flower Exhibition spans 15,000 square meters and hosts over 80 exhibitors specializing in flowers, ornamental plants, and landscaping. It provides visitors with the chance to enjoy green spaces and scenic views, complementing their tour of the historic Agricultural Museum.

The flower exhibition welcomes visitors daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., while the Agricultural Museum's halls are open until 3 p.m.
