9th Edition of ‘EGYPS 2026’ to Kick Off Monday


Cairo: The ninth edition of the Egypt Energy Show “EGYPES 2026” is slated to take place from March 30 to April 1, under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.



According to State Information Service Egypt, the Ministry of Petroleum stated that the show is the leading event for the energy sector in North Africa and the Mediterranean region. It highlighted the high-level participation of Nikos Christodoulides, who is attending for the second consecutive year, alongside several ministers, heads of international organizations, and chief executives of major global companies operating in energy and related technological solutions.



Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi mentioned that the show reflects Egypt’s success in creating an attractive and stable investment environment in the energy sector. He emphasized ongoing cooperation with international partners to maximize the benefits of the country’s advanced infrastructure and strategic geographic location, positioning Egypt as a regional hub for energy trading and distribution.



The minister added that the first day of the conference will feature a presidential roundtable, during which President Sisi will meet with the heads of major global energy companies. On the second day, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli is set to hold a roundtable with senior executives of international energy firms operating in Egypt.



Badawi also noted that ‘EGYPS 2026’ represents a key strategic opportunity to open new avenues for partnerships and attract further investment, contributing to increased domestic oil and gas production, maximizing the use of promising opportunities, and boosting the added value and returns of these resources for the Egyptian economy.



Held under the theme ‘Energy transition through cooperation, action and realism’, the event is expected to bring together more than 500 exhibiting companies and 350 international speakers representing governments, organizations, and major energy firms. It will also host 51 national and international energy companies, along with 13 country pavilions, enhancing prospects for cooperation and investment partnerships and supporting efforts to develop energy resources and make the most of Egypt’s infrastructure.
