Cairo: The National Elections Authority (NEA) confirmed that the second day of voting for Egyptians abroad in the 2025 Senate election is progressing smoothly, with no obstacles affecting the electoral process. The NEA is maintaining constant communication with Egyptian diplomatic missions globally, where the elections are taking place.According to State Information Service Egypt, Ahmed Bendari, Director of the Executive Office of the NEA, addressed a press conference from the central operations room, which is linked via video conference to election centers at Egyptian embassies and consulates abroad. Bendari reported that the authority had not received any complaints from Egyptian ambassadors or consuls who are overseeing polling stations.Bendari emphasized that feedback from Egyptian diplomatic missions abroad indicates that polling stations are opening as scheduled at 9 a.m. local time in each participating country, with the voting process proceeding smoothly. He noted that the voting procedures, estab lished by the NEA, allow the process to take only a few minutes per voter, minimizing difficulty.He further stated that the NEA will continue to maintain contact with all embassies and consulates until the end of the second and final day of voting. Following the closure of polls, the vote counting and tabulation process will commence, with results to be submitted to the NEA.
