Rafah: The 270th convoy of humanitarian aid trucks, known as 'Zad Al-Ezza: From Egypt to Gaza,' set off on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, through a side gate of the Rafah Border Crossing towards the Karem Shalom crossing, in preparation for delivery into the Gaza Strip. The convoy is part of Egypt's ongoing efforts to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in the enclave, where more than 2 million Palestinians live.

According to State Information Service Egypt, earlier in the day, the 270th batch of trucks loaded with food and humanitarian supplies for people affected by the war in Gaza lined up in the external yard of the Rafah Border Crossing before heading to the Karem Shalom crossing, southeast of the Gaza Strip. This initiative was made possible via a side gate of the Rafah Border Crossing.

A reliable source at the Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) reported that the trucks were part of the 'Zad Al-Ezza: From Egypt to Gaza' convoy and carried large quantities of food and relief supplies. These included food packages and baskets, flour, fresh bread, legumes, canned food, medicines, personal care items, tents, clothing, and fuel.

The source also noted that about 60,000 trucks carrying more than 1 million tons of humanitarian and relief supplies had entered Gaza since the start of the war. This effort included the deployment of ambulances and fuel trucks, supported by the dedication of 75,000 Egyptian Red Crescent volunteers.
