Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation’s Volunteer Platform at GMC attracted over 950 volunteers

The Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation’s Volunteer Platform attracted over 950 volunteers from 47 nationalities around the world during its participation in the second edition of the Global Media Congress.

The volunteers engaged in volunteer opportunities within and outside the country through the platform: www.volunteers.zayedchf.gov.ae.

The new platform managed to attract various segments of the UAE society, including the elderly, youth, school students, and university students aged 16 and above. This helps establish a comprehensive and sustainable volunteer system by utilising volunteers’ skills in participating in the foundation’s programmes and projects within the country and globally.

The foundation presented volunteering opportunities on its new platform and selected volunteers based on their skills and experiences in volunteering. It also provided volunteering opportunities suitable for People of Determination, considering them active partners in the development proc
ess.

Dr Mohammed Ateeq Al Falahi , Director General of the foundation, praised the vital role played by the Global Media Congress in shaping the future of media, especially in an era of rapid technological and knowledge-based changes. He highlighted that this global gathering serves the goals of institutions and entities working in the humanitarian and charitable sector, allowing them opportunities to interact, establish partnerships, and initiate collaborations with media institutions worldwide.

Al Falahi pointed out that during the three-day participation in the Global Media Congress, the foundation introduced its approach and humanitarian and charitable projects worldwide. It launched the Volunteer Platform, which received significant interest from participants, attendees, and visitors, especially as the platform attracts volunteers for an institution that holds a cherished name in our hearts, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

Abdulaziz Al Zaidi, Director of Projects and Programmes at the foun
dation, explained that the increasing registration on the platform reflects the concept of social responsibility and the growing culture of volunteering rooted in the UAE society.

He highlighted that the platform offers several advantages to volunteers, such as choosing the most suitable field matching their interests and experiences, building a personal volunteering record, accessing a wide range of specialised volunteering opportunities.
