Youth Minister opens vocational training center for Egyptians & expats in El-Sayeda Zeinab

Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhi opened Saturday 21/01/2023 a vocational training center for Egyptians and expats at El-Sayeda Zeinab Youth Center in Cairo.

The center in the El-Sayeda Zeinab district was established by the youth ministry’s central department for youth empowerment in cooperation with the International Organization for Migration (IOM).

In press statements, Sobhi said supporting handicrafts is among the ministry’s established priorities, noting that the ministry encourages young people of both genders to practice innovative handicrafts, which help create adequate job opportunities and increase their income.

He added the ministry will provide real marketing opportunities for young handcrafters to help them turn their projects into productive businesses.

Sobhi also opened a volunteering center for early childhood development at El-Sayeda Zeinab Youth Center, built by the ministry in cooperation with The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). He also inspected the center’s playgrounds, as well as family and meeting halls.

The minister also followed up the efforts under way to improve the efficiency of a semi-olympic swimming pool at a youth center near Cairo Citadel.

As part of a Cairo-wide inspection tour the minister initiated with Al Maasara Youth Center earlier today. Sobhi also inspected a project to scale up the efficiency of Sharabiya Youth Center, which involves establishing synthetic grass playgrounds, a swimming pool, two administrative buildings, a locker room, a martial arts hall, and a gym.
