Young Palestinian critically injured by Israeli forces’ fire in July during raid on Jenin succumbs to his wounds

A Palestinian from the town of Jaba’ to the south of Jenin succumbed this evening to critical wounds he sustained by Israeli forces’ fire in July. Ezzelddin Kanaan, 20, was struck in the head by a live bullet fired by a sniper while he was on his way to donate blood to help fellow Palestinians during the Israeli aggression on Jenin last month. Israeli forces stormed the Jenin refugee camp at dawn on July 3rd, backed by warplanes, leading after two days of incursion to the killing of 14 people, five of them children, injury of more than 300 others, and heavy destruction to roads, buildings, and infrastructure in what was described as the most violent aggression since Israel’s reoccupation of the West Bank in 2002.
